Bloomington Public Schools provides a full aray of services for students from birth through adulthood. Many of our programs fit easily within the categories of general, special, or community education. Other, more specialized, programs are offered to meet more specific student needs. Below are descriptions of some district programs that fall outside of traditional programming.
- Homebound Instruction - The Bloomington Public School District provides a program of instruction to students who are unable to attend school due to prolonged illness, disability, suspension, or expulsion.
- Homeless Services - The Bloomington Public Schools ensures the provision of the educational rights and protections for children and youth experiencing homelessness under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.
- PAUSE (Placing Accountability Upon a Students Education) - This program is designed as an alternative to out of school suspension.
