Gary Kressin

Gary Kressin joined Bloomington Public Schools in July 2014. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Technology Education from University of Wisconsin-Stout. He also holds a Master’s in Education and Educational Administration from the University of St. Mary’s.

Kressin started his education career in the classroom, where he taught at both the middle and high school levels. Previous experience includes serving as a district math coordinator, STEM coordinator and a career center administrator.

Brynn McConnell

Brynn is happy to be joining Bloomington Public Schools! She is passionate about career and college development and enjoys supporting students along their journey in these areas. Brynn hekps students by helping them register for concurrent college credit, supporting their academic progress and career and college planning, and coordinating opportunities for students to further explore their career development through guest speakers, field trips, college visits, etc. Brynn also works with students on their Personal Growth Plan (PGP) and helps them learn how to connect their PGP with their BCCA classes.

Before joining the BCCA staff, Brynn worked as a high school counselr in Owatonna for four years and has seven years of experience working in college adminssions, advising, and orientation. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamline University anf a Master of science degree in Professional School Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. 

Ally Pinkus

Ally is with BCCA thanks to a grant from Hennepin County. She works for Headway Emotional Health services and her role at BCCA and in other district High Schools is to help and support students overcome barriers that impede their attendance and progress at school. She provides support to students who are at risk due to a variety of factors and plays a vital role in keeping students in school at BCCA and in other high schools in the district who otherwise would struggle to attend regularly.

Ally attended Metro State University and holds a BA in Psychology. She is currently attending the University of St. Mary's and working on her MA in Counseling and Psychological Services. 

Kyah Hayek

Kyah joined BCCA as the program secretary in April 2019. This came after her many years of experience working in different schools from being a classroom teacher to an office manager. She is very excited about joining Bloomington Public Schools as she has a passion for student learning and achievement.
 
Kyah grew up in Richfield and attended Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato. She holds a BA in elementary education with an emphasis in middle school mathematics.
